The location is ideal for clients with easy access also from the MoPac Expressway, Capitol of Texas Highway, and Highway 45. While an office in Austin is new expansion for Alex Wathen, he has been an Austin bankruptcy attorney for years, representing clients in Bankruptcy Court in the Austin Division of the Western District of Texas since 2004. “It has been my pleasure to practice in front of Judge Frank Monroe, and now with Judge Gargotta serving in Austin, I am excited to continue practicing bankruptcy law in Austin, ” Wathen said.
Although Alex is most well known for his bankruptcy practice he also has an extensive state and federal appellate practice that has also brought him to Austin. The Austin office is an opportunity to better serve clients in the Texas state appellate courts as well as the non-bankruptcy federal litigation and appeals in the Western District. “My Austin and San Antonio offices are a perfect complement to each other allowing me to better serve my clients in the heart of Texas,” Wathen said.
Alex Wathen is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and also serves on the Board of Legal Specialization Bankruptcy Exam Commission. His law practice involves primarily representing individual and small corporate debtors in Bankruptcy as well as state and federal appeals. He has clients throughout the country and is a member of the Bar of most federal Circuit Courts of Appeal as well as the United States Supreme Court. Alex Wathen regularly has oral argument in front of federal appeals courts in different parts of the country.
